2016 will be the year of Virtual Reality – all the big manufacturers will finally deliver what we have been waiting for. Let’s come together to share our excitement on the next Meetup at the c-base Raumstation on the 14th of January.

We welcome CEO Markus Prenneis of present4D who will introduce VR Suite, a new tool with which you can easily connect panorama photos and 360° videos to tours as well as insert 2D images, videos and text via buttons. With the powerful editor all parameters of the panoramic tour can be set wearing the Oculus Rift, GearVR or Google Cardboard devices, all compatible with the VR Suite.

Long-standing game and narrative designer Prof. Csongor Baranyai of the BTK University will cover in his talk “Experience as Principle” the potential of VR from both narrative and gameplay perspectives, illustrating the scope between passive perception and interactive experience.

Lastly we are happy to have Linda Rath-Wiggins and Stephan Gensch of the Berlin Startup VRagments who will talk about their recent VR projects, the importance of a great narrative in VR and their collaborative submission to Leapmotion’s 3DJAM. They’re looking forward to getting to know all of you.

As usual it’s highly appreciated it if you want to bring your HMDs and your own demos for everyone to try.

Update: Only those who RSVP’d can join, if you didn’t please don’t come, cbase unfortunately can’t take any more people.

See you on the 14th of January!
