We are rushing toward a bright future in Virtual Reality and once again want to share our excitement with you at the next Meetup at the c-base Raumstation on the 29th of October.
We welcome Kathleen Schröter, Head of Corporate Communications of the Fraunofer Heinrich Hertz Institute. She will present the OmniCam-360, a set of scalable mirror-based multi-camera systems that can be used for capturing high-resolution 2D and 3D video panoramas for immersive applications. The latest development makes it possible to transmit the UHD panoramic content to Virtual Reality glasses so that the spectator is able to enjoy a truly immersive experience.
Stefan Marx and Maximilian Schneider of the Berlin Startup Viorama along with game veteran Chris Mansfield will talk about their recent visit to the TechCrunch Disrupt in SF and Oculus Connect in LA. They will answer all your questions concerning the current VR craze in California.
We are also happy to have Jan Ahrens, an artist and musician who created a charming VR music experience with the avatars of his indie band “Ruins of Krüger”. Playing their song the members reveal slightly odd VR behaviour, and Ahrens will tell us why and how he did it.
As usual it’s highly appreciated it if you want to bring your HMDs and your own demos for everyone to try.
All are welcome!
See you on the 29th of October!
